3D Youtube Downloader is a dedicated video downloader that can grab online clips and save them locally, offering a wide array of output video and audio quality options in this respect. Despite being part of a software category that doesn't fall short of such utilities, this particular application manages to attract through the impressive array of options and customizations that are embedded inside it.

A compact design, combined with a good download speed, as well as the variety of options related to the download process are the qualities that place it higher in the top list of video downloader managers.

The application's main window sports a simple, yet user-friendly appearance that attracts a wide audience. Windows 7 users can benefit from a special design, almost completely transparent by switching to the Aero mode (located in the Tools menu).

The video link must be pasted inside the dedicated field, although a clipboard sniffer that could paste the links automatically would have been much convenient.

The application offers two approaches to the download process: a simple and an advanced one. The former delivers a few built-in download scenarios for both the audio and the video parts, allowing you to choose between the best or the default clip quality and audio size.

As opposite to the simple mode, the advanced one provides direct access to a menu that lists all of the available media formats and the afferent quality levels, enabling you to combine a video in HD format with an audio stream of a lesser quality and viceversa.

Also, you can set the default video and audio quality using the Options menu, which is also the place to use if you want to build an ignore list for various media formats.
