Cross + A 8.45 Portable RUS / ENG|22 MB
The computer program Cross + A is intended for solving crosswords, scandvors, cryptarithms, Sudoku and Japanese crossword puzzles (black and white and multicolor nonograms), as well as for finding anagrams, word combinations, word chains and metagrams. The program uses a database containing more than 97,000 words with descriptions.

The database can be edited: add words, delete, change descriptions (spelling check is available). The user can import (insert) words from their text files into the program database and create their own word bases.
Cross + A includes a graphical editor for creating Japanese crossword puzzles, as well as generators for automatically creating logical puzzles.

Program operation modes:
- Search for words by letter (if you know the length of the word and some of its letters).
- Anagram search:
1. Search for exact matches;
2. Search for all words that can be made up from the letters of the given word;
3. Find words that include all the letters of the given word.
- Search by description (if you know the keywords in the description of the word).
- Search by pattern (if you know some letters of the word: instead of a single unknown letter the "?" Is substituted, instead of a few letters - "*", instead of the same letters - numbers, instead of any vowel - "@", instead of any consonant letter - " $ ", instead of a few vowel letters -" & ", instead of a few consonant letters -" # ").
- Search for phrases that can be composed of the letters of a given word, for example:
PROGRAMMING = ARENA + GROM + WORLD + BEER
- Search by syllables (search for words that can be made from a given list of letters); eg:
I, LI, PO, SI, ZI, CI = LILY, POSITION, POLICE, SICILY
- Search for "linked" words (search for word pairs, where the end of the first word coincides with the beginning of the second word); for example: ???? (Graph) ???? = PHOTOGRAPHER, GRAPHOMAN
- Finding words in a grid (in a rectangular or square grid filled with letters, the program tries to find words, passing from letter to letter in the horizontal and vertical direction).
- Kryptarithms (mathematical expressions in which numbers are replaced by letters); for example: DECISION + IF = SILENN => 9382 + 3152 = 12534
- Search for chains of words (search for word strings that differ from each other with one or more letters); for example: ZERO - SAL - SALT - SEVEN
