Painting:
Increased the speed of the drawing functions. Tests showed that in comparison with SOLIDWORKS 2015:
• Sketch contours are created faster due to more sketch segments.
• Increased response speed in sketches with a large number of visible size marks. Previously, selection and dimensioning operations in large thumbnails could have been slower.
• Zoom with the mouse wheel is faster in sketches with more sketch entities.
• Adding sketch entities to the sketch tools Moving, Copying, and Scaling provides a reduction in delays.
SOLIDWORKS PDM:
Fixed performance problems: now in different settings and menu configurations and the search tool window opens faster. Tests show an increase in the speed of certain operations in certain situations. For example, launching an integrated search tool and accessing frequently used searches and search maps are much faster in cases of a long delay in the response of the database server or a large number of folders in the repository.
User interface:
In large assemblies containing a large number of components, the filter of the FeatureManager design tree could work slowly and not respond to data entry. Perhaps after entering each character from the keyboard, you had to wait for the system to process the information and react again. Now that you are entering data into the filter field, the program waits for a "pause" before filtering the FeatureManager design tree.
