The first hybrid X3M product featuring a vast collection of organic and electronic high frequency percussion designed for adding tension and speed to your music.






The concept behind LIGHTNING X3M is not only to introduce different types of high frequency percussion, but also to create unique instrument combinations, similar to our previous percussion series, as well as some new sounds and effects. From clocks, shakers, pencils, hurdy gurdy, electronic drums, guitars, accordions and many more we sampled everything in a way which is perfect for adding tension and speed to your music.


Our main idea was to record a number of high frequency percussion instruments, suitable for all kinds of dynamic music and especially film/trailer. The library has multiple dynamic levels (from very soft ppp to blasting ffff) and has multiple round-robins (meaning that each instrument has unique samples that get changed every time you press a key).

The concept behind this engine is fairly simple - the keyboard range is divided into 12 zones that you are able to assign different sounds to. After creating a template of your choosing just plug in and play - nothing else needed!
In addition to that the engine also allows you to tweak individual zones, as well as the whole mapped ensemble patch with various effects and mic positions. Combining these with the natural and organic recordings you have maximum flexibility when it comes to sound.

Strezov Sampling Lightning X3M KONTAKT screenshotOnce you load up the X3M Ensemble Builder you automatically load all samples inside the "Samples" directory. However, the instrument is built in such a way that it actually keeps all samples purged, unless you load them up into a zone. This means that not only do you have a single patch with all types of percussion you might need, but it is also optimized and doesn't hurt your RAM resources in any way!
