Do you want to deepen your understanding of mindfulness and learn to teach it to others? In addition to understanding mindfulness, you will gain valuable teaching skills for writing practices and delivering them to others. In approaches to mindfulness, we'll explore how it is used from historical contexts to programmes such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and third-wave cognitive behavioural therapies such as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). In applications, we'll look at how mindfulness is applied to a range of mental health and physical health conditions. Each module is assessed by a multiple-choice exam. By the end of the course, you'll earn a certificate accredited by the International Association of Therapists.Taught by Chris Worfolk, psychologist, co-owner of the Leeds Anxiety Clinic and author of Do More, Worry Less. This course takes a deep dive into mindfulness. If you would prefer a broader course on meditation, you may wish to consider my Meditation Teacher Training course instead. It won't cover anywhere near as much detail but will explore a range of meditation techniques as well as the historical context. Both courses complement each other and all of the lessons are recorded separately for each course.
