You will learn how to: ·see a manuscript through from conceptualization to publication ·develop habits that will support your writing ·anticipate (and survive!) common pitfalls in academic writing and publishing You will also learn what to expect after you submit a manuscript for review and how to respond in an appropriate and timely manner to decision letters. This course is intended to be used in two ways: ·to provide you with an overview of the academic writing and publication process ·to return to when you need specific help with a part of the overall process The course is structured in a linear manner (from manuscript conceptualization to publication). However, feel free to move around as needed as most lectures can be viewed as stand-alone.
