This course will help raise your awareness of the unhelpful thoughts and behaviours we all encounter, challenge that thinking, and create lasting, positive behavioural change to enhance our patient encounters. A more practical endeavour when challenging our own assumptions and natural bias in any situation, whether you are in a clinical role or non-clinical but are still patient facing. Your patient or client interactions will be more productive, positive and pleasant for all! And not only with patients, this training will help you in other areas of your life including with friends, family and relationships at work. In this course you will learn important definitions surrounding bias, stereotyping including how these processes operate in our brains so you can think before you speak. You will also develop an understanding of how unconscious bias can impact our clinical decision making and affect a patient's health outcomes from your care.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------As health care professionals, it is essential to provide high-quality care to all patients, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, or any other personal characteristic.
