Description
This course is for doctors, dentists, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, osteopaths, chiropractors, psychologist, physiotherapists and other health and care professionals. We specialise in providing focused courses on Probity and Ethics for doctors, dentists, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, osteopaths, chiropractors, psychologist, physiotherapists and other clinicians. The clinicians attend our courses for either professional development or appraisal / re-validation purposes, or are facing investigation or proceedings with the GMC, GDC, NMC, GPhC, GOSC, GCC or the MPTS or any other regulatory bodies.The courses are conducted by facilitator who has experience working in the NHS and private health sector and is well aware of the processes of the GMC investigation and the MPTS.Doctors and nurses are responsible for the care and wellbeing of their patients. Any mistake or misconduct on their part can have severe consequences for the patients and the reputation of the healthcare facility they work for. It is, therefore, crucial to ensure that such errors do not occur again in the future. In this module, we will discuss various strategies that doctors and nurses in the UK can employ to prevent similar mistakes or misconduct from happening again in the future. By doing so, they can provide the best possible care to their patients, promoting the safety and wellbeing of all those in their care. Technology can play a vital role in preventing errors and misconduct in healthcare. For example, electronic prescribing systems can reduce the chances of medication errors occurring. Electronic medical records can improve communication between healthcare professionals and reduce the chances of errors due to miscommunication. Doctors and nurses can also use technology to stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge, reducing the chances of errors due to outdated information. Root cause analysis is a technique used to identify the underlying causes of a problem or incident. It involves a structured and systematic approach to examining the problem, identifying its causes, and developing solutions to prevent it from happening again in the future.
