Description

Must be over the age of 18 and attending the workshop with adolescent**Please note, this is a body image awareness video workshop only.In this workshop, we explore (lightly) body image and how difficult thoughts can create long term sadness. Using a simple analogy to show how thoughts build momentum, we explore each individuals' body image thoughts and how they can escalate into manifestation of negative body image. An interactive workshop with two group exercises that engage and explore body image thoughts.This workshop must be carried out with an adult.Please allow your child the space to write down their own thoughts on paper as the exercises are geared around emotional expression so that your child can express how they feel.Do not look at what your child writes unless they want to show you.Let your child know that you will NOT look at what they write and this space is for them to write how they feel without anyone seeing. Remember, if your child is struggling with their body image, they will try their best to keep their thoughts a secret from you, due to shame or embarrassment.
